Bucca di Beppo: Great Italian food and festive family environment!

Great italian restaurant with that special festive and welcoming atmosphere that make you feel like family. The food it's served in big family proportions, so, be ready to share and even take some home! Food is delicious you can't seem to get enough, my favorite dish is Penne Cardinale. It is that good? Yes, believe me. I even had to found out the recipe to make it at home, and I don't ususally like cooking, but that dish is that good! Of course it's never going to be the same than in Bucca Di Beppo.

Bucca di Beppo: Italian family sized meals

Buca di Beppo is one of the places where you take the whole family along...that is the only way you can justify the portions which are family sized.
There are a whole lot of photographs on the walls to give you a rustic Italian village ambience.
The food is awesome (though not cheap).
there are two special tables (one is the kitchen table and the other one is a huge round table underneath a picture of the pope)

    Favorite Dish: Tiramisu...tiramisu...Tiramisu..
However the veal parmigiana and baked lasagna are very good too.
As is the fried calimari and delicious antipasto salad.
As are the mindbogglingly beautiful waitresses...............:-)

Buca di Beppo: Feast on southern Italian specialties

by BLewJay Updated Sep 20, 2004

A neighborhood restaurant where guests feast on family platters of real, immigrant, southern Italian specialties in a boisterous, celebratory environment that recalls the Italian-American supper clubs of the 1940s and ‘50s.

Favorite Dish: Geez...where do you want me to start. As soon as our group of 9 people settled down to celebrate a birthday, we ordered our appetizers (or Antipasti) which included baskets of Garlic Bread, Fried Calamari and Pan Fried Fresh Mozzarella. Next came the Mixed Green Salad (or Insalate) with prosciutto, cheese and olives.

For dinner we ordered Linguine in Red Clam Sauce, Chicken Marsala with fresh mushrooms, Ravioli with meat sauce, Chicken Cacciatore, Meat Balls and Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp.

Since it was a birthday dinner we had to have dessert, so we ordered the Buca Bread Pudding Caramello as well as the Chocolate Cannoli.
