George's At The Cove: Fine Dining in La Jolla at George's

by orcoastgirl Written Feb 9, 2007

After taking in the sunset in La Jolla, we decided on George's at the Cove for dinner. I had heard great things about this place and everything was proven to be true, it's fantastic! Our server was very cordial and we had appetizers, salad, two entrees and a great dessert here. They are currently remodeling and will be better than ever now!

  • George's At The Cove: Fresh Fish and Wonderful Vistas

by Coarstours Written Feb 21, 2005

When dining in La Jolla George's at the Cove has it all. There is a fine dining restaurant, a bar with a view of the pacific ocean and an ocean terrace bistro. The views of the cove are magnificent.

Favorite Dish: The daily specials usually include a fish dish of fish caught that same morning which calls for a delicious meal.

George's At The Cove: Wonderful food and even better drinks

George's is the perfect dark, romantic, slightly overly expensive restaurant. The food IS good and the service is wonderful. Attempt to get a seat next to the window and check out the wonderful view of the cove. Personally, I love going into the bar for drinks with friends. You enjoy the atmosphere and have a very nice 'classy' time. A great time to eat there is right before sunset when you can still see the cove clearly and it's not quite as busy.

Favorite Dish: I love the oysters. Plus they can make a hell of a martini and have great wine.

  • George's @ the Cove: Great sea food

by qleo Written Jun 5, 2004

George's is great dining, the perfect place to go for a nice date. There are amazing Pacific Ocean views. The food is fabulous and there is an equally nice wine menu.

Favorite Dish: My favorite is the Salmon (fresh not farmed!). It literally melts in your mouth. It comes with a choice of veggies, baked potato or something or other. It's just really good.
