Located in the Gaslamp Quarter's most photographed building, George's on Fifth is a fabulous place to enjoy a meal. With a world reknown pianist playing tunes and first class service, this is truly a dining experience that one should not miss.
Favorite Dish: Since this was our first wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate in style. Lucky for us, we received a coupon in the mail to experience the 4-course dinner George's on Fifth had to offer. We started off with warm Sourdough French Bread and melt in your mouth creamy butter.
For our appetizer, we both chose the Dungeness Crab Cakes (served with roasted red bell pepper cream and fresh cilantro).
For salad, LJ had the Young Spring Greens (with caramelized toasted walnuts, red grapes, tomatoes and feta cheese, tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette) while I had the Caesar Salad (with hearts of romaine spears, croutons and shaved parmesan, tossed in a classic caesar dressing).
For the entree, LJ had Swordfish (with grilled caramelized red onions, porcini risotto, and seasonal vegetables) and I had the Grilled 12 oz. cut Rib Eye Steak (USDA Prime with seasonal vegetable, watercress, leeks and yukon Gold Potato Mash).
And to finish the evening, we selected the Grand Marnier Chocolate Mousse...so, so good!!!
