There is a lovely outdoor cafe among the museum complex in Balboa Park. I enjoyed a delicious lunch in 75 degree weather while resting between museum visits. I looked out on the sunny plaza filled with happy families and a beautiful fountain, the notable Spanish stucco museum buildings as a back drop.

Favorite Dish: Salad with grilled chicken.

Seau's The Restaurant (of the All Pro Linebacker Junior Seau of the San Diego Chargers)
It's a great sports bar to catch a football game. You can catch the games on any one of the dozens of tv's throughout the place. I would recommend the 11'x15' ft big screen.

Favorite Dish: The menu features typical American dishes (burgers, pizza, pasta, etc). Also, you can order sushi from The Raw Mana next door.

    Seau's The Restaurant: A sports bar/restaurant mecca

Seau's offers great food at moderate prices in an event-like atmosphere. Owned by San Diego Charger's All-Pro Linebacker Junior Seau, the restaurant serves a contemporary American grill cuisine with an all-star lineup that includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pastas, and grilled fresh fish.

Favorite Dish: Choose any of the following and you can't go wrong: Seau Sampler Plate (hot wings, potato skins, zucchini sticks, black bean & cheese quesadilla), the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla (a flour tortilla with jack & cheddar cheeses, black beans, tomato salsa & guacamole), Tuna Salad Sandwich (fresh Ahi tuna grilled, chilled then flaked & mixed with celery, onion, basil & mayonnaise on french bread with curly fries), the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad (romaine, parmesan cheese & garlic croutons tossed with a classic caesar dressing) or the N.Y. Steak Sandwich (a 1/2 lb. Angus Beef strip prepared to order and served on a slice of grilled sourdough with a side of creamy whole grain mustard horseradish plus french fries).

    Seau's interiors

Thought I'd give you a view of the interiors as well as the exterior. It's pretty standard all American sports theme.
