Favorite Dish: We walk by this restaurant and found many people queuing outside, while other restaurants on the same street was a bit quiet, well, this must be nice, I thought. They have unique decorations with a trolley inside the restaurants and reasonable prices. The food turn out nice too.
Favorite Dish: Their menu come with homemade soup, green salad, and fresh baked bread. All-in-one price. You can choose your own sauce & pasta, and toppings. Portion not too big, just nice. Seldom found nice portion in the States, and great coz I don't like to waste food!!
My favorite restaurants are tbe Old Spaghetti Factory, located in the Gaslamp Quarter and the Corvette Diner located in Hillcrest. Both are wonderful places to eat and have really awesome service. Hometown Buffet is another favorite restaurant of mine. There are several located all around San Diego.
These restaurants are of very high quality and the atomosphere is wonderful. The service is great, the prices are great, and the food is fantastic.
Favorite Dish: My favorite menu item from the Old Spaghetti Factory would be the vegetarian spaghetti with marinara sauce. From the Corvette Diner, I recommend the fish-n-chips or country fried steak with mashed potatoes (my dad's favorite). I always go to Corvette Diner for my birthday :-) For Hometown Buffet, there are several menu items to choose from. I recommend the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, or spaghetti with meat sauce.
The Old Spaghetti Factory looks like an stereotypical chain restaurant outlet from the outside, but don't let the looks guide you wrong. The food is actually pretty good there.
The restaurant is one of the best places to eat in downtown San Diego when travelling with children. The food is easy to eat, and our kids loved the selection. Service is fast, and courteous, and they bring bread to the table pretty much immediately. This helps to control the usual restlessness of small travellers while waiting for the main fare.
The prices are decent, too, and the portions are big enough to satisfy a bigger hunger.
The restaurant was renovated into an old brick building in the Gaslamp Quarter, and the ambience was excellent, somehow fitting to a new world Italian restaurant. Would not work in Italy, though.
The restaurant is located in a very old building, which made it a lot of fun. We had out dinner in an old trolley. The food was good and the price was right. It's a great restaurant for families and people of all ages. You get a lot of food for a great price.
Favorite Dish: The spaghetti and meatballs of course! There are different variations of spaghetti and meatballs, such as spaghetti and sausage. My boyfriend had fettucini alfredo, which he said was really good.
Great food at nice prices in a wonderful atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: Try the Meat Lovers Treat (meatballs, italian sausage and spaghetti with meat sauce).
