    Target: Mission Valley

    Target in Mission Valley

Target is a great store to buy all those things one might have forgotten to bring from home before leaving on vacation. Toiletries, batteries, clothes and shoes for men, women and children, sporting goods, gifts, jewlery, CD's, DVD's, bath & beauty products, over the counter drugstore type items, toys & games, some computers, cameras, pay as you go phones and much more.

This is the type of store that most locals shop in for their daily needs at a resonable price..

What to pay: Here you'll find some of the most reasonable prices, though Target is not the only such store, it is located in Mission Valley and convenient for tourists.

Each week Target offers a variety of items at a reduced price. You can learn about this through the ads in the papers or just take a look around the store and see if you find a good deal.

Off 5th, Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet: Mission Valley

Off 5th, Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet

Off 5th is the outlet store for Saks Fifth Avenue. This one is located in Mission Valley Mall/shopping center.

Last summer, 2010 all Saks Fifth Avenue stores closed in the whole County of San Diego. Off 5th has remained open.

As with Nordstrom Rack, Off 5th offers the over-stock/last season items of their main store Saks Fifth Avenue, which I'm sure most people have heard of. This is the type of store that offers the best brands and the newest styles for a big price. Of course, those of us who believes in the adage, "You get what you pay for." Might not mind paying a higher price for good to great quality.

Those who also like a bargin can find them here. All items are discounted and sometimes they even have sales, so the price is reduced even more. Also if you sign up to be on their e-mail list, they will send coupons adding a reduction of 20% -40% off the instore prices. The bargin hunter's dream!

What to buy: Clothing for men and women--more for women--bags, shoes, accessories, including men's ties and sunglasses are some of the items sold here.

Though this store seems to be less chaotic than others of the same type, you'll still have to hunt and search for something you'd like to have and there is always the chance that it won't be in your size. Still, real shoppers love this kind of challenge and maybe you do to.

    Wal-Mart: Wal-Mart? What's that?

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MILITARY AND THEIR FAMILIES!

It's the USA biggest (am I right?) discount supermarket chain. They sell everything there but no luxury or just more expensive (better quality) goods. In more and more Wal-Mart supermarkets (but NOT all) they sell food as well - look for sign: FOOD or FOOD MARKET.

Services in the Wal-Mart at Dennery Road, San Diego:

    Garden Center

    Gift Registry

    Maternity

    McDonald's

    Pharmacy

    Photo Center

    1 Hour Photo Center

    Portrait Studio

    Tire & Lube

    Vision Center

NO FOOD but VONS supermarket just next to this Wal-Mart.

What else? It seems that they support local community and local military families as you can see on my picture.

What to buy: Telephone cards, batteries, video casettes and films for your camera, sun glasses.

What to pay: Look for discounts :-).

    World Market Cost Plus

This place, located downtown near the Gas Lamp district, sells things that come from the bazaars of many Asian nations, at a reasonable price.

I would have bought more if I wasn't 'luggage limited' on my return flight.
