Point Loma - Fort Rosecrats national cemetary

I always do something to honor our vets on Veterans day. This year I went to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. There were no ceremonies or anything when I was there just families.

Fort Rosecrants is very pretty. It is on both sides of Catalina Blvd and one side looks over San Diego bay and the other the Pacific. It is 77.5 acres and has vets buried here from The Battle of San Pasqual (1846) to the present.

What a workout, but definitely worth it. Definitely check it out.

Several different ways to get there; check with your hotel or google online for Pt Loma/Cabrillo National Monument bike ride.

    Pt Loma Light House

There is a beautiful old light house that is manned by the US Coast Guard located on the Monument grounds.

Point Loma/Cabrillo National Monument are not only historical (site of first European landing in california) but breath-taking.
