I think jumping out of a plane is on many people's things-to-do before-I-die lists. For a little less than $200 ($189 before tax), it's a great thrill. The location is really great. The view of the landscape is great as you jump out from 13,000 feet, watching the world come back to you at about 120mph. Supposedly you can see all the way to Mexico, and the sun setting in the Pacific can be calming as your life flashes before your eyes. The facility was packed when we went on Oct 21, 2006. This place is very popular and has alot of cool people working there. We were kind of lucky to have Tiger Woods and some of his friends jump from our plane. There is another facility, SouthCoast SkyDive, but they only jump from 9,000 feet; this place gives you an extra 4,000ft. SkyDiveSandDiego had 2 air craft going up that day. One of them could hold up to 23 jumpers at a time. If you bring a big group make sure to reserve in advance and double confirm the times and call as soon as possible if you are running late. We had a reservation hiccup and ended up waiting more than 4 hours. The main issue was that we booked our jump from a place called SkyRide in Atlanta, GA. Big mistake. It would have saved us a lot of hassel if we just called the SkyDiveSanDiego, directly. You can have another parachutist go up with you to take video of the plunge for $89. Watching the camera man swoop around me was really cool. It was like he was flying matrix-style as he was able to go slower and faster and take shots of me from 360 degrees both up and down and around. You can see the video from the Website link, below. The Instructor I was hooked to was named "Tigger" and he was a very cool guy. Very calm and fun too. He spun us around and made the parachute swoop around like it was an eagle. The one mistake i did was not to keep my eye on the horizon. I was too busy checking out the ocean and the mountains and the Lakes below. So, I got a little dizzy afterwards. Leave a Comment

Well you see I work part time at Hike Bike Kayak located in the beautiful San Diego, I’ve lived here long enough to say this is probably one of the best things you can do when visiting San Diego, it suits anybody well. You can either ride in a tandem or a single. Its about 2 hour adventure that starts off the shore of La Jolla and goes along the shore line where you will see leopard sharks, then from there head out to the La Jolla sea caves; there are about 8 of them, if its calm enough a guide will take you through them, around the caves you’ll see plenty of fish and sea lions; from there head out to the natural kelp forest where you’ll have a chance to jump and swim around and knock your friends off there kayak. La Jolla is the most picturesque area in San Diego and kayaking in the Pacific Ocean in the sun is a lot of fun and a great workout. Highly recommend it !! *also we do a KayakSnorkle *prices Tandem tour is $70 ($35pp) Single Kayak $35 *you can rent the kayak with out the tour at a cheaper price also *check website everything you need to know is there Leave a Comment

by Srechko I have not done it (small canadian dollar is not worth much in California) but you don't make the same mistake. Paragliding!!! That is the the thing I am going to do next time I go. It is quite expensive, flying with an instructor for 15 minutes was $100 but it must be unforgettable experience!!! You jump from the 100m above ocean level and fly - over the nude beach!!! The ol' ballgame! by Marisa79 The ball game is a great way to spend the day with friends and family. Besides traditional stadium seating, there is a grassy hill where you can purchase $5 tickets and take a picnic or have a beer and watch the game, and there's a little mini baseball diamond where kids can play during the game. The stadium is within walking distance from the gaslamp district so you don't have to deal with parking. One tip: bring a blanket or warm clothes, even on a warm day, if your seats are in the shade - the breeze can make it chilly! Leave a Comment Directions: Downtown

Running or rollerblading at Lake Miramar. There is a track around the lake that's about 5 miles long, and it's great for running, powerwalking or rollerblading - not to mention, watching people doing all of this! There's not much traffic - mostly other runners, skaters etc. There are restrooms and water fountains in the main parking lot, and also at various places along the track. Leave a Comment Directions: Scripps Ranch. From I-15 (do not take the express lanes) exit at Mira Mesa Blvd. and go east. Turn right when the road ends at Scripps Ranch Blvd. Turn left at the second light onto Scripps Lake Dr.

by Honeyplease 1/2 to 3/4 day trip on the 'Daily Double' fishing boat This was an unsuspected great time, everyone need to go! I caught 3 fish and enjoyed eating them that very same night. What's great about catching the fish is the deck hands come around and take the fish off the hook for you and on your way back to shore they'll even filet them for you. If you get the time on your visit here, try it out, you will have a wonderful time. O yea, please don't go if you're easily sea sick. by AnneKLM Horeseracing at Del Mar - where the Turf meets the Surf! Del Mar season is brief, but lots of fun! If you find yourself in San Diego sometime between mid-July and early September, definitely give yourself a chance to experience it. The racetrack and the thoroughbred club are beautiful in themselves, with lush, green lawns, lots of flowers and gorgeous buildings. Watching the races, maybe betting some money on your favorite horse puts you in the proper Del Mar spirit. Many families make a picknick out of it, bringing food, drinks and lawn chairs, and just spend the day watching the races, relaxing and having fun. A nice family outing! There are also restaurants and bars, serving, among other things, the Del Margarita and the Del Martini. Leave a Comment Directions: In the City of Del Mar, 20 miles north of downtown San Diego, 100 miles south of Los Angeles on I-5. Take the Del Mar exit and follow signs towards 'Fairground'.Other Contact: http://www.delmarracing.com

Qualcomm Park: San Diego, CA by b1bob The food at this tailgate party was about what you might expect for San Diego- taquitos (tiny tacos), and chicken wings ranging from hot to nuclear. The majority of drinks were alcoholic. Someone even offered me a rum and Coca-Cola (the very thing that finished ME off on my last night at university). I had an unadultered Coca-Cola, although my first choice was water. However, the only kind of water on hand tasted the way your foot feels when it goes to sleep. Although, we were allocated the Bob Uecker seats, Mr. Cooper arranged for us to have access to the club house for free food and drink. I had 3 pieces of fried chicken, a dozen cherry tomatoes, and black olives from the vegetable platter, lots of salted-in-shell peanuts, all the while watching the game on a closed-circuit monitor. Many of the people in Sean's office had lived in San Diego for a long time and were, thus, loyal San Diego Padres fans. Sean's loyalties were divided because he grew up loyal to the Richmond Braves- a minor league farm team to the Atlanta Braves, but was living in San Diego and working amongst fiercely loyal Padres fans. I am a pure Braves fan and I was not about to mute that fact even in a limo full of Padres fans. After the bottom of the 7th inning, the clubhouse closed. As the crowd of 31430 was doing the 7th inning stretch and singing, "Take me out to the ball game." I found Javier a Padres key chain to add to his collection (which already had one for the Braves). The Braves were still behind 1-3. Unfortunately, that's how the game ended. (Remember in 1998, the Padres beat the Braves for the National League pennant and the Yankees in turn swept the Padres in the World Series.) Leave a Comment

by seth0919 The Padres were playing the Arizona Dimondbacks. Randy 'The Big Unit' Johnson was pitching for the D'backs. He actually had a no hitter going into the 6th inning, and finally left in the 7th with 14 strikeouts. The Padres had less than 25,000 people in attendance at the game, so we were able to 'upgrade' our seats without any problem. Even though it was over 95 degress we stayed until the 12th inning when we left. You could say we didn't see anything as the score was still knotted at ZERO when we left. From the car, we learned that the Padres won it in the bottom of the 13th with a solo home run. by seth0919 Point Loma Sportfishing company One afternoon we went fishing with the Point Loma Sportfishing company. They took us out for a 1/2 day trip. The boat was relatively full, but we still had a great time. Julie (a deckhand) was very helpful in explaining what to do, as most of were all beginners. All of us except for Sam, who had been fishing for over 20 years (recreationally, not professionally) and was hoping to bag a shark on this particular trip. Jamie was able to reel in the only 'keeper', a 16 inch 3 pound Calico Bass. I do have a tale of 'the one that got away.' As I fought him, Sam caught a climpse of the watery beast, and his only comment: 'It was PRETTY BIG.' I wouldn't quite call my self Ahab but I'd say it a hell of a lot of fun! Leave a Comment
