Mission Bay Park - Not the Bay

by janders Written Jul 12, 2004

It's not worth it. I was down there 5 years ago for the X Games, and I forgot what S-hole this place is.
To many people in a small dirty area.
Parking is free but it does take some time to find a place to park.
The beach is small, crowded, and dirty. I don't think the people like to use the trash cans.
When you leave, you want to go and take a shower cause you feel so filthy from being down there.
This is a place that the city forgot to clean.

Unique Suggestions: The only thing worth going to the park for is the roller coaster and thats it.

Fun Alternatives: Go over to the Mission Bay a find something over there, like a jetski or boat.

Ocean Beach Starbucks...don't upset the locals

by mesoblonda Written Oct 6, 2003

I know, I know, alot of you just LOVE your Starbucks! I can't even begin to tell you how the locals in Ocean Beach protested the moving in of a franchise to their world. It was protested, petitions were signed, police were called, etc., etc. Starbucks won, but did they really? There are plenty of very cool little coffee shops in OB where you can get great coffee and awesome energy. Give the locals some business, I always do when I'm down there!

Unique Suggestions: Walk in, look around, laugh, walk out.

Fun Alternatives: Help keep OB as mom n pop as possible!
