Chocolate is king here !!! Ghirardelli Square is definitely a San Francisco's landmark.
It's worth a visit not only for shopping on its various stores but also for the view over the Bay.
Chocolate lovers may would like to visit the Ghirardelli Square for the Annual Chocolate Festival which is normally organized each year by mid-September.

Fisherman's wharf is a nice place on top of the peninsula, in front of the bay, where shops of every kind are available.
Many areas are really typical, like this Cannery. A building dating back in the early 1900's, now filled with shops.
visit Ghirardelli Square and buy some chocolates. It's a short walk from Pier 39, about 10 minutes. This property dates was built in 1897 by Domingo Ghirardelli and his sons for his chocolate factory. Now it showcases shops, galleries and restaurants and is one of San Francisco's famous landmarks.
