S.F. Bay / Docks, San Francisco
Favorite thing: As you leave the docks at Fishermans Wharf you begin to see two objects appear out of the fog, to your right will be Alcatraz, the most famous prison in the US.. and on your left, or to your front you will see one of the most well known landmarks in the USofA, the Golden Gate Bridge. It is often covered in fog, in the mornings, afternoons an evenings, but you can see it often "hiding" behind those veils of fog that seem to cover it like the veils of some exotic dancer. If you are lucky, you will see it begin to appear out of those foggy veils and you will be in for a fantastic sight.
Favorite thing: San Franciscians know they have a beautiful bay and you should go see it. Of course the most amazing landmark of San Francisco is the best known bridge in America, the Golden Gate Bridge. You can see in in the early morning fog..or was it the afternoon fog, well maybe I am forgetful and it was the afternoon fog, but that is not important, it is worth a see anytime. You also on the Bay Tour get to see the fantastic skyline and maybe even a few friendly seals and pelicans.
Favorite thing: A bay cruise offers panoramic views of the downtown skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the Marin County. We took a cruise offered by the Blue & Gold Ferry Bay Cruise and it was a nice experience. In fact, we wanted to go to Alcatraz (at the time we have been living here for more than three years but didn't get to see Alcatraz). As it turns out, the ferry for Alcatraz was full (if you want to go there reserve in advance) so we took a bay cruise instead. The ferry left from Pier 39, went under the Golden Gate Bridge and circled Alcatraz on the way back. We've taken the cruise in May, it was warm and sunny but very windy.

Take a boat trip around the bay. You'll get a great view of Alcatraz and sail beneath the Golden gate Bridge, although the day that I was there I didn't get to see the top of it for the mist!
Fondest memory: Probably siting on the end of the pier eating a hot dog!! Sounds stange to you may be, but it just seemed to be so perfect.
Favorite thing: visit the San Francisco bay with a boat. I recommend the company Red & White Fleet. It goes from Pier 39 until the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a long trip and it passes just in front of the Alcatraz Island too.
hop on a relaxing bay cruise.....
Fondest memory: Here's a quick glimpse of the City of San Francisco at a distance.... as the bay cruiser that you're supposed to be in pulls itself away from the Wharf.... for an hour of heavenly bliss! Hm, this experience should set you back by at least US$14 (if my memory didn't fail me)...or slightly more. This is the cost of the bay cruiser ticket.
Favorite thing: San Francisco is just beautiful. If you're lucky and the weather has been good and a nice rain has come along recently don't miss the chance to see the Bay at sunset.
Favorite thing: The bay is a beautiful setting and makes for some interesting photos like this one of Alcatraz with the sun glinting off the side walls.
Take a cruise on the bay (from the Bay Bridge to The Golden Gate Bridge). The site is so beautiful.
Fondest memory: Riding on the cable cars
