Free Shakespeare in the Park has been organized 6 years ago and is still alive and well. In 2008 Presidio Park (next to Golden Gate Bridge) is showing the play called Pericles.

TO GET THERE: Buses 28 and 29 will bring you there. From downtown: take bus#30 (runs on Stockton Street in Chinatown) and then hop on bus 28 on Lombard Street (or just walk).

NOTE: You can bring a picnic, but no chairs allowed. There is a free Valet parking for bikes. Bring warm clothes, cause it gets really cold once the sun sets!!!

PARKS` ADDRESSES:
Dolores Park is bounded by Dolores, Church, 18th and 20th Streets and the film will be screened in the park at Dolores and 19th Streets. Dolores Park is served by the MUNI Metro J-Line and by MUNI's 33-Ashbury. The 16th Street BART/MUNI station on Mission Street is a 15-minute walk from Dolores Park.

Washington Square Park is located at the intersection of Columbus and Union Streets in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. The Park is served by MUNI bus lines 15, 30, 45 and 39. The Powell/Mason Cable Car line stops one block from the Park (at Union).

Union Square is bounded by Powell, Post, Stockton and Geary Streets in San Francisco. It is served by all MUNI Metro lines (Powell Street Station), by BART (Powell Street Station), and by multiple MUNI bus and cable car lines.

Every March, the Center for Asian America Media hosts a film festival, featuring about 120 movies in San Francisco (March, 13-23), Berkley (March, 14-22) and San Jose (March, 21-23).

A grocer built this house! It's a 1886 Queen Anne style museum/house. Inside this house is "staged" to help you step back in time. If you love architecture, got a couple of hours to do "something completely different", have a look. It's hard to pull yourself away from all the other cool things there are to do in this City, I know.

A nice journey back to San Francisco at the turn-of-the-century. Highly recommended for you nostalgia-lovers.

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF)
is the City's largest public arts institution. Comprised of the M.H. de Young Memorial Museum and the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, FAMSF is also the City's most successful public/private partnership. Although a designated City department, most of the Museum's operational funding and all funding for art acquisitions and exhibitions are raised privately.

The 'palace' is a leftover from the expo in 1915, and have now become an exploratorium, a museum of science and technology with 'live' exhibitions where you could see, listen, touch and explore.
