He hit the dancefloor in NO TIME!!
Manuel's first words as we entered the club and worked our way through the "tropical dancefloor" was, " WOW!!!!"
It was as if we had just stepped into the streets of Havana! As we worked our way through the crowd and made our way for that ....ahem.........glass of Rhum......Manuel was all warmed up and ready to show us some of his smooth Boleros del Caribe moves!
Our own resident "Salsa_Girl" welcomes Manuel to the San Francisco style Salsa!
Cafe Cocomo: Sultry Salsa Sounds!
One of the hottest Salsa clubs in SF is Cafe Cocomo. They're well known for their lively crowd and famous Salsa Bands who perform there on weekends. Salsa lessons are also given earlier in the evening.
With our resident "Venezuelan", ManuelEB, coming to town from the Land of Edo, we knew that Salsa had to be on the RED CARPET agenda.
The dancefloor is always full and the crowd consists of both hardcore Salsa addicts as well as addicted "beginners."
Dress Code: No jeans or sneakers allowed at this "Dress to Impress" club. Fashionable attire for a fashionable crowd. No baseball hats also.

Practically every street corner has free new papers named 'Bay Guardian, or SF Weekly', these are the ultimate guides for all the local flavor that no tourist guide could ever give you, pick up these papers, and refer to them religiously.
Dress Code: You should call ahead and hope to speak to a real person, clubs change their policies almost daily in a vain attempt at being seemingly upscale.
