Anon Salon is a monthly "interactive" party combining technology, science, arts, and (yes!) drinking brought to you by the founders of Burning Man!! The location changes, so log on to www.anonsalon.com for information. Sign up for their guest list while you're there. Cover is generally around $15-$20. At one party, a water ballet of the Wizard of Oz was performed to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." At another, a theatrical production featured nymphs spanking patrons with large lollipops! There are live bands, as well as DJs. Join the party!
Dress Code: Whatever you want.

San Francisco's got everything for partying... on New Year's Eve you can find formal balls, cocktail parties, all evening dinner parties, mobs in the streets. You name it, you can probably find it. My friend and I chose to get swanky on NYE 2002.
Dress Code: Take your pick!

Nightlife in the city? How about a little DAYLIFE???
Kelly's Mission Rock at the China Basin in San Francisco has the hippest daytime venue around in the summertime. On its regular days, Kelly's Mission Rock is a landmark maritime restaurant known for its relaxed atmosphere and spectacular views of the bay.....but come summertime it opens up to a host of numerous outdoor club parties!
Summer in the city by the bay means 'Second Sundays @ Kelly's Mission Rock!' Every second Sunday of the summer months, it's a huge, spectacular party with all of the well-known 'Yay-Area' DJs spinning their latest mixes. We've been blessed this summer with gorgeous, fog-less weather which makes for a much more worthwile event at Kelly's.
There are 2 floors with DJs mixing House, Deep House, Progressive House, Techno, Trance.....anything and everything to keep the crowd on the floors and out basking in the sun!! The beautiful 'club crowds' who stayed up the night before come rollin' in with their heads pounding but all freshened up for the Sunday event that lasts from 12pm to 10pm (then, if it's still NOT enough, there are after-parties that take place at several local clubs). The parties last all day and night!
Be sure to arrive early and buy your tickets online before the venue if possible. The lines can get quite long during these Second Sunday events.
(Folks must make this their last stop after Sunday mass!)
Dress Code: Dress code? How about UNDRESS code? The event takes place both indoors and outdoors, and on a hot summer day, I guarantee Minimal dress code is enforced. Shirtless men and tube top-clad women fill the dancefloor. Just smell the aroma of CK Contradiction mixed with Hawaiian Tropic SPF4.
Don't forget the sunglasses for sure! After partying the night before, the shades are good source for hiding the blood-shot eyes!
