During one of my visits to this fantastic city Ro hosted a dinner here for fellow vt'rs Willy_Wonka and Arasnosliw.
The food was fantastic with a wide range of authentic cuisine from Spain, and the sangria was wonderful as well!
We ordered many tapas to share among the four of us.
Favorite Dish: We started with a pitcher of Sangria and then ordered the Patatas Bravas, Calamares Fritos con Alioli, Chorizos Espanoles, Aceitunas aliniadas, Croquetas del Dia and the Jamon Serrana con Piquillos, which all were excellent.
A wonderful small place the Geisha took us for a VT meeting when Manuel came to town. It just happened to work out with my arrival for a weeks work in San Jose and made for a very wonderful weekend.
Favorite Dish: Manuel did the ordering for us and although I didnt eat a lot what I did was great. I had been up for a few days traveling except for the cat naps on planes.
I hosted a dinner at this restaurant with fellow VTer Annapet, to welcome another fellow VTer, ManuelEB to our beautiful City by the Bay. Annapet suggested we try this scrumptious Tapas restaurant right on Lombard St. in the Marina section of San Francisco.
The food was delectable and the sangria was wonderful!
The menu was full of authentic regional cuisine from Spain (so I was informed)....even the waiters were "authentic" (from Spain!)
We met the chef......he was from Argentina.....and congratulated him on a job well done!
For the life of me, I cannot remember the names of all that we ordered as we let Manuel do all the ordering for us. Everything he selected was delish! So, if you want to know what we had for dinner, send your mail to MANUELEB! ;-)

Favorite Dish: We dined on Paella Valenciana, empanadas, a variety of cheese and chorizos......

On Saturday, May 17th, the BEAST (ManuelEB) enters the BEAUTY OF THE GOLDEN GATES.
It was a relatively small meeting hosted by GEISHA_GIRL and ANNAPET. We were joined by CJG1 who flew in from New York on business.
We had a delectable dinner at ALEGRIA's in the Marina District of San Francisco.
We dined on fine food, fine wine, and in the warm company of friends.
It was just the beginning of what was going to turn out to be a SPECTACULAR VT meeting!!
As full as all of us were from our delicious dinner, Annapet highly recommended their dessert pancake.
We "sucked it up" and shared one platter together. Can't quite remember the name of the dish but it was a pancake served with liquer a la flambe, and a side of ice cream!
Our Guest of Honor selected a bottle of Marques de Riscal (excellent Spanish wine) as his drink of choice for dinner.
The SANGRIA served at this restaurant is some of the best in the city as well!
While engaged in delicious tapas and delightful conversation.....we had to take a moment to sign the *mandatory* VT Postcards!
