The food is good (I've had better) but all things considered, it's a GREAT place to visit!
You get good food and drinks in addition to an impressive performance ON the bar by your waitress! Be sure to be vocal about the performance! If you're enjoying it, DO let them know!
My suggestion is to bring an unassuming individual to ASIASF and see how long it takes them to figure out that thier waitress is truly a gender illusionist!
You will find an amazingly mixed crowd and it's fun to hang out downstairs in the club while waiting for your table.
Request the "Pussy Cat" song! It's worth you persuading them to perform it...
Have fun. I ALWAYS do!
Favorite Dish: No favorite! Get a group together and try it all!
Ok, if you don't know about this place, know what you are getting into. It is if nothing else an experience that is a great conversation piece. I did not know the extent of the theme. straight or gay, it doesn't matter. It is not a pickup place, more of an attraction that caters to both sides. Being straight, I have never seen anything like this, so it was quite an experience.
Favorite Dish: Everything was good, but I had so much to drink I couldn't tell you what all we had. You typically get a multicourse meal you piece meal.
Geisha_Girl and friends, joined by Jessicadf, hosted a dinner at ASIASF to welcome Morii (o00o) who made his one night stopover in San Francisco on his way back to Japan.
Morii was joined by his good friend, Shin, as they ended a 10-day journey through the US en route back to Japan.
The night was filled with good food, great service, and wonderful performances by the "gender illusionists" who doubled as our waitstaff.
The waitstaff at the restaurant provided very friendly and attentive service. That is, when they weren't performing the "floor show" that took place during the dinner!
This was our friendly.....er......waitress, "Chuck!"
She did a mean rendition of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walking".....you will see her in action later.
The "Prix-Fixed" dinner included appetizers, entree, and a scrumptious dessert all for $33.00. This price also included the floor show and entrance to the dance club downstairs.
Morii, enjoys his decadent chocolate cake to top off his meal and "topsy turvy" tour of the US!
We couldn't believe the generosity of our friend Morii when he presented us with these lovely souvenirs from Japan.
What was more unbelievable was that these pieces didn't BREAK as he trekked them throughout his 10-day journey in the US
Geisha_Girl here strikes a pose......after realizing mojitos and cold and flu medicine make a FANTASTIC combo!!! Wheeeeeee!
Our lovely waitress, "Chuck," made her rounds at the tables and got ready for her act.
She performed Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walkin". Her act would have made Nancy herself proud.
Geisha_Girl enjoys the cocktails served at Asia SF. They have such an array of yummy cocktails on their menu. Their Mojitos were some of the best in SF !
Fresh from the big "VT SF BASH," the "Lemon-Drop Crew" helped Geisha_Girl roll out the Red Carpet for o00o
Morii came to the dinner BEARING GIFTS!! These lovely fans were part of his package of goodies, so the Lemon-Drops Crew decides to show their appreciation to our friend from Tokyo!
This was one of the delectable dishes on the menu.....Filet Mignon........served with a side of "Starry-Eyed" Surprise.
