Aziza: Fashizzle Yo Nizzle......MOROCCAN Style!
As a second part to the Welcome Home Party for our friend, Johnny_CA, fellow VTer, Bond_Girl and I took Johnny to AZIZA on Geary St.
Our experience at Aziza was memorable. We loved everything about it: The atmosphere, the food, the cocktails, the service..........everything was well-prepared and served with professional grace and warmth.
The three of us ordered the "Tasting Menu." It's $39 per person and is a huge feast fit for a Moroccan King. (or even an Agent Pimpy!)
The Tasting menu consisted of soup, a plate of delicious Mediterranean spreads and veggies, the ever-popular BASTILLA (a phyllo pastry filled with minced braised saffron chicken, spiced almonds, and powdered sugar), an entree and dessert!
We were in awe at the presentation and the delicious spices!
Favorite Dish: The 3 entrees they served was recommended by the Chef. They included a braised lamb shank with honey and kumquat sauce, caramalezied dried fruits, roasted almonds and cous cous. There was also a roasted chicken stuffed with saffron and spices, and a spicy sea bass dish.
Our dear Johnny was delighted as you can see !

Aziza: What's a "Welcome Home" without Belly Dancers?
You can't go to any Moroccan Restaurant that doesn't serve Belly Dancers with the Cous Cous.
The music was loud and pumping and set just the right mood for the evening.
