cafe kati: good coffe
he restaurant, despite being tiny, always felt like it was underserviced. 2 waitresses should easily be able to cover that many tables, but I felt at times that no one was around.
Favorite Dish: Peanut-Crusted Prawns with a Green Papaya, Mint and Thai Basil Salad and a Sweet Chile Sauce.

Cafe Kati: Wonderful attention to service
I recommend seeking out this intimate, soothing restaurant tucked away in Japantown. The Asian-influenced California fare is prepared creatively and the service was exceptional! Try to reserve a table in the rich surroundings of the front room, things get bland and bright in the back room.
Favorite Dish: Terrific Wine list, not limited to the standard Wine Country picks.
Cafe Kati: My favorite restaurant in San Francisco
Cafe Kati, 1963 Sutter Street (415-775-7313) is my favorite restaurant in the city. The cuisine is amazing and the food is marvellously presented. It is a delicate mixure of New American-Asian fusion cuisine....very creative and a wonderful blend of different flavors.
I highly recommend it.
you can find out more about the restaurant (including prices) at its website: www.cafekati.com
Favorite Dish: I liked the pork tenderloin with apple fritters and the dessert are absolutely wonderful (see photo of a fresh fruit crisp)
The atmosphere is very relaxed...no need to really dress up and the service is friendly.
Make sure to make a reservation because it's always very busy.
