In China Town are a lot of restaurants. There's one Chinese restaurant were we had a great meal. It's called the 'Cathay House' and we really enjoyed our meal there..
Favorite Dish: They served different dishes.. Get the point?
In the middle of Chinatown at the junction of Grant and California Ave, sits a fabulous restaurant surprisingly devoid of tourist trap designation. And no, I'm not talking about the McDonald's that is located downstairs.
Oftentime, the restaurants running along Grant avenue cater to the tourist crowd serving american-style chinese food to the passing crowds. The Cathay House, on the other hand, serves meals that taste fantastic in a dining room with large glass windows overlooking the corner of Grant and California (a cable car runs along this route and can be seen while you eat).
The food is good, the price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. You may have to sit near many a tourist but this is one dinner where you won't mind at all.
