Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., most menu items (burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, etc.) at La Corneta Taqueria are under $10.00. Soft drinks are $0.92, domestic beers are $2.25, and imported beers are $2.75. Visa, Mastercard, Discover & ATM cards are accepted. There's even live Spanish music on Fridays around lunch time!
Favorite Dish: The #8 combination (pictured) comes with carne asada (steak), pollo (chicken), prawns, rice, beans, salad (lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole), and tortillas. At $10.95, it's enough to feed two people! The chicken was SOOO good!!
La Corneta Taqueria: Best Burrito in Glen Park
La Corneta serves fresh Mexican food that is incredibly delicious and very cheap. Presently they have two locations, one in Glen Park, and another one in the heart of the Mission neighborhood. The Glen Park location is close to my apartment so this is where I usually go. It's always very crowded (the line is out the door) but most people order take-outs and the line is moving quick. In Glen Park they have only a few tables; if you would prefer sitting down better try the Mission location which is bigger and has many tables.
Favorite Dish: I belive that you can get almost any dish and be satisfied. The dishes include tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and plates prepared with grilled chicken, grilled steak, roast pork, tofu, and prawns. Everything seems prepared using fresh meats and vegetables. I recommend trying the super quesadilla with pollo or carnitas, it's perfect in any regards. The chips are thin and fresh. The salsas (rojo, verde) are fresh, and you can get them in the "mild" and "spicy" varieties. The guacamole is a simple mixture of creamy avocado, lime, and salt, and is purely delicious. Rice is good, same for the beans. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always attentive.

La Corneta Taqueria: Mexican-The Best Place for Burritos
If you're in the mood for a great burrito, you must try La Corneta in the Glen Park Neighborhood. One burrito is big enough for two people. This is great for those on a budget. Do not be alarmed by the long queue, which often goes out the door. It moves pretty fast, and the food is worth the 5 extra minutes. When you get to the counter tell the lady you want a (beef, chicken, pork, etc.) burrito. My favorite is the beef and shrimp burrito. See the description below. The first thing she'll ask is what kind of beans you'd like. Trust me, even if you don't understand her, this is what she's asking. Tell her you want black beans. Then she'll ask if you want guacamole and sour cream. This is up to you, but you'll be charged for a "super" burrito if you say yes. Finally, get a Mexican beer or soda. Try the Mexican Coke with real sugar (not corn syrup). Can you tell the difference?
Favorite Dish: My Favorite dish is the beef and shrimp burrito with black (whole) beans and no guacamole and sour cream. It costs a dollar more (about $7), but it's well worth it. Remember that it will feed two people! It is served with a side of tortilla chips with two dipping salsas.
