One Market is a sophisticated up-scale restaurant at the end of Market street by the Embarcadero. Although it is not the most expensive restaurant I have eaten at it is more pricey then others.
This place isn't really hip or trendy but the food is delicious. I would reccomend this place more to have a buissness dinner at or to take the in-laws to impress them.
The big joke in my father and his business partners in SF is the One Market is their "cafeteria". It is one of the better restaurants in the area.
A grand menu in a picture-perfect setting, One Market has long attracted both the expense account set and wide-eyed out-of-towners looking for the penultimate dining experience. Floor-to-ceiling windows gives patrons a impressive view of the Bay Bridge soaring in the background, while inside, the kitchen turns out dish after dish of lavish New American fare the seafood choices are particularly scrumptious.
Very convenient, close to the Embarcadero and right on the Muni Line. Great atmosphere, casual yet elegant and very attentive service.
Favorite Dish:
I had a fabulous Chilean Sea Bass and the main entree. Perfectly cooked and paired with a nice Sonoma Chardonnay. Yummy!
