From the top of Coit Tower you can get very nice views of the city. On the basement there are also some very nice murals to check out.
One of the most distinctive landmarks in San Francisco is the fire nozzle shaped Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. This is Coit Tower from Pier 39 along with the Transamerica Building.
Anywhere along the Embarcadero you will see Coit Tower atop Telegraph Hill. Built by Mrs. Coit to honor the firefighters of SF, today you can tour the tower.
Take the bus up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower.
Don't try to walk unless mountaineering is your thing :-) From the hill you have a great view across downtown and across the bay.
