It's really tiring, but you get to go through some interesting houses and see some great views of the city and they bay if you walk up from Embarcadero. Be careful, it is very steep.
Quite a landmark, Coit Tower. You can see it from loads of places, and see loads of places from the top! Not a lot else in the surroundings but you can pick out where to go next.
The Coit Tower was complete in 1933. The tower stands 210 feet tall and is located on Telegraph Hill. From the Tower you can take some great pictues of the city.
In the shape of a firehose, this tower honors firefighters. You can go to the observation deck on top, 542 feet above the San Francisco Bay, and view many sights of the city below.
Here's a Bay Bridge view from Coit Tower. Also note the Ferry Building. I knew I went up there for a reason!
Visit the tower & get a nice few of the town.
Another great place to see San Francisco is from the Twin Peaks
I can't really tell you what is inside this building because time was limited ,it was getting dark we had no parking spot so we did not go explore in to the Tower.
This is the observation deck on top of
TELEGRAPH HILL ,a statue is in the center ,the view from here is stunning.
Just getting up here is a challenge.
Coit Tower is a great monument which gives excellent views out across the city but what made it for us were the stunning Diego Riviera murals which decorate the walls.
From the top of Coit Tower you can get very nice views of the city. On the basement there are also some very nice murals to check out.
One of the most distinctive landmarks in San Francisco is the fire nozzle shaped Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. This is Coit Tower from Pier 39 along with the Transamerica Building.
Anywhere along the Embarcadero you will see Coit Tower atop Telegraph Hill. Built by Mrs. Coit to honor the firefighters of SF, today you can tour the tower.
Take the bus up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower.
Don't try to walk unless mountaineering is your thing :-) From the hill you have a great view across downtown and across the bay.
