    Forbes Island

I was fascinated with the little island at Pier 39 and found it?s actually a floating island which cruises the harbor as you dine. It?s a 27-passenger vessel called the Island Queen and is the only man-made floating island. The creator is a Mr. Forbes Kiddoo who at one time was in the Coast Guard. He will chat with you before or after dinner about his creation which is 50-foot wide, 100-foot long and was built way back in 1975. The dining area is actually beneath the water inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Their open Wednesday through Sunday for dining from 5:00pm - 10:00pm.
