I loved visiting the Exploratorium (a great science museum) and the Palace of Fine Arts, which is left over from the Panama-Pacific Exhibition of 1915. The Exploratorium is educational and fun, and the Palace of Fine Arts setting is a great place for locals and tourists to take photographs.

San Francisco boasts wonderful museums. One of the highlights of these museums is not only the treasures inside but the architecture is built with style and the location is perfectly chosen. Legion of Honor overlooks a golf course and the Golden Gate Bridge. De Young museum sits in the middle of Golden Gate Park. SF Museum of Modern Art accents the other contemporary buildings in the financial district. Palace of Fine Arts is enchanting by itself. So many movies have been filmed there, notablyThe Rock. Not only is the site picturesque but at the Exploratorium, you can study science in a fun interactive way.

It's something similar to Singapore Science Centre.
If you purchase a City Pass, entrance to Exploratorium is included in it.

It's a lot of fun to walk around the Palace of Fine Arts structure. It's like walking around the Greek ruins in the middle of and American City!

    The Palace of Fine Arts

A great architecture and a nice lake in front of it. It's one of the scenes in the movie "The Rock" played by Sean Connery & Nicolas Cage.

It was built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition and there's also a park. Within that park is a theater.

Originally created for the World's Fair, this is a cool way to spend the afternoon -- visiting the Exploratorium inside and the surrounding Marina area. Concerts are also frequently held here.

On the shores of the lagoon at the Palace of Fine Arts, you can feed the ducks and enjoy one of San Francisco's most historic landmarks.
