San Francisco's Number One Attraction. Watch for the special Kodak "Picture Spots" located throughout the PIER. View California sea lions up-close in their natural habitat at PIER 39's K-dock.
When you're on a boat you have a nice view of the city and of course of the sea lions lying in the sun (and of the tourists watching the sea lions).
Pier 39
Come here at the right time of the year and you will get to see hundreds of Sea Lions rest there heads on the boardwalk of this famous San Francisco Pier.
Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf - home to hundreds of wild sea lions that come in from San Fancisco Bay. They are fun to watch!
Underwater World Aquarium - located at Fisherman's Wharf - offers a unique underwater view of the marine life of the San Francisco Bay.
Lots of shopping oppertunities for those who wish!
Also a few good eating and drinking spots, but, the best of this area is the free display given by the seals - they're great fun
Wide variety of interesting and fun shops, etc. Most were very expensive, but fun to browse through.
The historic Ferry Arch is located right next to Pier 39. This sign shows the history of the arch; the use of this arch. Apparently there was a rail line here to transport goods across the bay.
Harry Potter would probably have to take his ferry to Sausalito from this Pier. My kids had a kick seeing this picture.
