    Yes, it's touristy and yes, the food is overpriced, but you still have to check it out! Vendor after vendor line the street leading up to the water selling fresh seafood! You can have everything from fried calamari to crab legs and shrimp with cocktail sauce. It's fun to get something from one of these vendors, but it can get a bit pricey! For example, $7 for a little tiny thing of shrimp cocktail that wasn't even all that amazing!

    They have an open container policy. From the wharf to Pier 39, as long as the beer is wrapped in a brown paper bag, you can have it w/ you! :)

  • as i said in General: Donīt waste your time at Fishermenīs Wharf. There are plenty of occasions to buy T-shirts (3 for 10$) anywhere else.

  • overpriced, overcrowded, and over hyped. This is Fishermans Wharf. If you have to stop there, then go, but San Francisco has so many more interesting places to go and see then a smell wharf with cheesy stores.

    boudin bakery is pretty good, the Gap is there, and so is IN and OUT. You've never truely had "fast food" until you've been here. Its family owned and they make their fries on site. ITs cool watchign them slice the potatoes. interesting fact: under most drink cups and hamburger wrappers are bible verses

    I would go watch the sea lions jsut outside fishermans wharf, or go to the new Ferry Building (even though it is quite a walk away) They completely renovated it and it has fine cheese stores, culinary stores, wine and cheese bar, and they normally have live musicians performing. The good thing is that its all enclosed, so no need to worry about the san francisco rain or bitter cold fog!

    well, ghirardelli square is a really nice little place - really is but....nothing there but expensive chocolate..... and while we were there there was a chocolate festival, so we went, really nice things only....what u can actually but is expensive and what u cant is nice...not really worth the time...

    walk around , its a nice place but just shops...

    everything else u wanna do in sf is probebly better - even visiting alcatraz...
