Another of the historical transport systems. We enjoyed riding this one and the speed was a bit greater than the Cable car and also the line up was shorter. Definitely do if you are in San Francisco.

The transportation system around San Francisco is excellent. It will cost you $1 per person per ride with free transfers. It is the best deal going in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Municipal Railway is a rail like vehicle which operates both on the ground and underneath it.
The MUNI provides transportation to any destination within SF.

You can travel in San Francisco pretty easy, because they have buses and trains. You just need a freemap, but if you want to use your feet. Not a big deal. In the center you can do it!

Trams of San Francisco are very reliable and new. I've only seen comparable transportation in Helsinki and Stockholm. Probably that's the case for rest of Europe also.
