Seasonal Events, San Jose
In summer 2008 we saw country artists Jason Aldean and Emerson Drive at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Tickets were $15 for general admission and about $75 for the seating immediately in front of the stage.
This is a nice little venue for a concert. This historic stadium's beer stands, snack bars, and barbecue restaurant were open for concert goers. The stage was set up in center field against the outfield fence, and general admission spectators could sit in the grass or in the stands quite a ways away. The total crowd the night we went might have been 2,000 to 2,500 people and it was very easy to wander up next to the stage and get photos. There were a lot of families with children in attendance, and it was a good time.
Parking at the stadium costs $15, though there is a limited about of free on-street parking nearby.
Fondest memory: When I was last in San Jose, it was near Christmas, so they had the center of town made up like a little village, with real snow (you almost never see snow in this part of California).
