Golf in SLO is more about drinking beer than getting that frustratingly small ball in the even smaller hole, and its cheap! At the laguna lake 9-hole golf course you pay 4-9USD for a round.

Equipment: Bring your own set of clubs, or rent one for 7USD. And the beer, for gods sake, dont forget the beer!

Surfing USA

So you think surfing is all about cute blonde guys in shorts? Well, you will be gravely dissapointed when surfing in the central coast; here the surfers are little black spots in the gray ocean. The typical surfer dude is middle age and dressed in a cover-all wetsuit (including hat, shoes and gloves). Beware, its not warm and nice, its freezing cold and really really really hard. But oh, its tons and tons of fun too!

Equipment: Bring your wetsuit and long board and go to Morro Bay, Pismo beach, or Caucas.

Driving down or up 101, you may not even notice San Luis Obispo except for the "Next 8 Stops" sign. High shrubbery obscures one's view of the town so, unless you were already intending to visit SLO,...
