supune Says: If you like theme parks, Six Flags Magic Mountain is the best one in Southern California. The rides are alot better than at Disneyland and it costs just about the same. Viper was my favorite ride. Children under 6 years old may not be able to ride on most of the big rides.

la_beba Says: As anywhere in the sates, if you are visiting you should rent a car, and there's no subway system in Santa Clarita. However, there's buses and also the Metrolink trains, that can take you all the way to downtown L.A. But a car's a lot more convenient.
*Speed Trap on Magic Mountain Parkway*
LondonToLA Says: There is a speed trap on Magic Mountain Parkway from the 5 freeway up to McBean Parkway. Save youself some $ and drive the speed limit (50mph) on this strip of road. The cops only give out tickets - never a warning - take it from me! :(
