  • Speed traps at bottom of hills

    by cinergy4u Written Sep 8, 2007

"Speed traps are at the bottom of the hills on streets, such as Sierra Hwy, Golden Valley. A sheriff named J. Banks gives speeding tickets most afternoons at one of those places. Also, my daughter was ticketed for following too closely on Soledad Canyon road at 3:15 during the week over by the train station. This is themain thoroughfare through Santa Clarita, and nearly always has many cars on it. It is hard not to have a car right in front of you at any given time! These Sheriffs don't have enough to do or SCV is hurting for money!

*Speed Trap on Magic Mountain Parkway*

by LondonToLA Written Jun 20, 2005

There is a speed trap on Magic Mountain Parkway from the 5 freeway up to McBean Parkway. Save youself some $ and drive the speed limit (50mph) on this strip of road. The cops only give out tickets - never a warning - take it from me! :(
