Favorite thing:
As you probably all ready know what is one of my favorite things is learn the history about the places I visit. So when a community takes the time and especially money to install one of these I like to take the time and read some of the information that is shared.
This one is located at the base of the pier by the carousel.

Favorite thing:
One thing about myself I will always remember where a bathroom is once I find it. Not everyone has a bladder like a camel. There is this kiosk that is located in front of the Hippodrome building at the beach level that is full of wonderful helpful information and it has the bathroom locations on it.
The nearest bathroom if you park next to the pier is right underneath it. (This use to be the ony one they had and YOU DID NOT want to go in it by yourself at one time.) Now it is much safier.
The other one is located between the arcades games and amusement park.
The is another located under the Harbor Office at the end of the pier.
There are more locations, please check the map.

Fondest memory:
As young adults we would drive or either ride or motorcycles here to hang out for the day at the pier or beach. Fond memeories because some of the friends I use to ride with have since past away sadly. They were good people and were fun to hangout with.
Favorite thing:
Walking down the pier!
Sure, it is the most typical thing to do in Santa Monica. I did it recently only because I hadn't done it for a while. The pier is a great spot to be seen and this is ideal for promoters. So, last time here, on a semi-sweltering afternoon, there were a few Coke reps by the famous pier sign. They were tossing to weary pier walkers and other passerbys free cold coke flavored with a bit of lime. Who knows what other product will be out there for the pushing next?
Favorite thing:
Yes this Santa Monica Pier is a place for young and old ,there is plenty to do ,the amusement Park is a great place for families .
Here in the picture we see a place where you can control miniature ships in the water
A real fun event and great for kids big and small.

Shopping ,walking ,Arcades ,Restaurants Amusement park or just relaxing or even have a Fortune teller tell you what your future
will bring.
This Santa Monica pier has it all .
Favorite thing:
This Pier is awsome to visit
Don't miss it when you visit Santa Monica and California .
Fondest memory:
I remember that at the end of the Santa Monica Pier there is a Harbor office
It was a big office and I also noticed the coast guard helicopter flying by often .
So I think that because of such a big and busy Pier there needs to be a good security to protect this Pier ,there was also a place to fish off this Pier as you can see in the picture .
Favorite thing:
If your done with playing on the beach for a while, you can always go to the pier. Street artist are showing their skills for you to watch. But you can also take a spin in the Ferris Wheel. Or ride the coaster and on top of it all you get a great view of the ocean and the beach...

SANTA MONICA PIER
This 100 years old pier is the landmark of Santa Monica.
It has been a favorite spot for filming: The Sting, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Cop, The Net, along with television programs such as Baywatch.
It also offers an amusement park with a ferris wheel and roller coaster, an arcade, an historic carousel, restaurants and a superbe view to the huge surrounding beach!
Favorite thing:
See the Santa Monica Pier and the Promenade. Enjoy some of the best restaurants in Southern California.
There are plenty of art galleries and small theatres, with daily performances. You will enjoy some of the best sunsets in California.
Fondest memory:
I enjoy the weather, it is always nice and does not get into extremes temperatures. Riding my bicicle around town, believe me, is still possible!. We also have some of the best bookstores in the Los Angeles area.
