Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica
Favorite thing: Shop or have lunch at SANTA MONICA PLACE. Situated along Colorado Avenue & 4th Street & 1 block away from Ocean Avenue, it's mall shopping housed within the contemporary architecture designed by world-renowed architect Frank O. Gehry (winner of the 1999 American Institute of Architects' Gold Medal).
Third Street Promenade would be the best place to go, they've got tons of good food in the mall, and the promenade is something you've got to see first hand. It's only about 3-4 blocks long, but you'll get temptation to buy a lot of stuff there :)

Fondest memory: I wish things are more cheaper here :)
Favorite thing: Third Street Promenade is a fun place to go with the family or with a date. The outdoor mall is always a busy attraction with street performers performing on a nightly basis. The pier, a short walk from third street is perhaps Santa Monica's trademark attraction and has amusement rides, restaurants and a really good outdoor concert series.
Enjoy the pedestrians-only THIRD STREET PROMENADE. Take a relaxing walk & browse the many shops, boutiques & eateries.
