During the summer, the Mountain Winery hosts a variety of great musicians in a fabulous outdoor amphitheater. Add to that a fabulous evening of food and wine under the warm starry sky and its a very memorable event.
Check it out and buy tickets early - they definitely sell out as the venue is an intimate size - perfect for getting close to your favorite singer!
Enjoy!

There are a lot of upscale clothiers, antique stores, art galleries, and miscellaneous boutique specialty stores along this strip worth browsing. Each block is well marked with crosswalks and stop signs for traffic, and although the sidewalks could be wider, there are a number of interesting mini malls off the street as well. The street is well serviced by a number of sidewalk cafes too. The sidewalks are not brick, and the street is asphalt, not cobblestone, but the street is nicely landscaped by maturing Gingo trees and flowers.

The Chamber of Commerce for Saratoga provides the web link below for appreciation of the historic buildings and monuments in town. There's not a lot, but it's certainly worth the hour or so it takes, during transit between, San Francisco and Monterey, or perhaps during a cycle tour through town. Here, I have images of the WWI Veteran's Arch. The arch was dedicated in 1919, but moved to it's present location in 1965 when the state highway was widened. Also, I have here the marker for the Martin McCarty's 1950 Toll Gate. There are a number of other buildings of historical and architectural interest within Saratoga's historic district.
