Remains of the products of the early 20th century canning industry are found on the site.
These differ from modern cans by their thicker tinplate.
Just imagine this can being produced in let's say a Chicago meatpacking plant, shipped to California by rail, and finally to Skidoo by mule... to be scooped out by a bearded miner for lunch...
These artefacts are part of the common heritage and should not be removed from the site, nor be complemented by contemporary litter!
Skidoo is a dangerous minefield.
Not the kind that explode (although some dynamite might still be trailing around), but the kind you fall in.
Beware of exposed mineshafts and galleries which are unsafe to enter.
