With the courtyard of Frederik's is some local businesses, restaurants and some shops. Yet, what is really neat is a beautiful horse fountain along with some Greek Statues.

Atterdag Village Serendipity Shoppe: Helping Those in Need~

by Yaqui Updated Dec 11, 2011

This is a thrift shop, but no ordinary thrift shoppe that sells vintage stoves, glassware to linens, jackets, old hats and new lotions, the eclectic inventory offers something for everyone. What is so unique about this shop is that Atterdag Village Serendipity Shoppe serves residents receiving skilled nursing care for at the SYV Recovery Residence of Solvang Lutheran Home, recently renamed “Atterdag Village.” Proceeds from sales benefit residents who have exhausted their financial resources. So when you buy from places like these your helping the community. I bought some really beautiful horsey pattern end table runners.

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We wondered into here to just browse around, but my best friend found a very unique pan that makes those pancake balls. This shop is very unique with many different types of items such as variety of wines, beers, liquors, cheeses, baking goods, pans, and many other gift items. We were also able to buy bottle water since it was kind of hot that day.

    Solvang Antique Center: Elegant Antiques

by Yaqui Updated Dec 9, 2011

This building has 8,000 square feet of elegant antiques. Not your typical antique mall I assure you. It looks like furniture that would come out of very wealthy estates. All is beautiful condition. I could never afford them, but it was fun exploring the store.

Store is full of different ladies accessories and clothing.. I naturally followed my lady and after getting a dizzy head, left the store and went right back out and hung out at the front of the store in the side walk as my lady shopped for clothes. Pretty neat so do take a look inside.. Gentlemen, I warned you!!!
