I have to say this is another favorite place to eat. They have very good food, and very reasonably priced. Has a wonderful hometown ambience to it and feel right at home here. Has also a bakery, and gift shop which you can't miss when you walk in. Also has a beautiful patio deck lined with beautiful flowers that is shaded by our famous Oak trees. Be aware that this restaurant sits right next to the railroad track, so you will get up and front view of the trains as they blow by.
Favorite Dish: I enjoy the breakfast time here. They do give you plently to eat and your monies worth. Oh!..the fudge here is awesome. You have to try some!

Since the ownership of this restaurant changed hands, everything about the service is terrible.
We arrived with a reservation at 5:00. There were two other diners in the restaurant at the time. At 5:30 we went to the manager and asked why no one had taken our drink orders. Someone finally showed up and took our drink and dinner orders. At 5:45 Someone brought five of our nine drinks to the table. At 6:00 we still had not received the other four drinks. We asked numerous times and just got an eye roll or head shake. At 6:15 we got up and walked out after paying just for the five drinks. We will never go into that establishment again.
Favorite Dish: I don't know, we never got served.

This is a little tucked away restaurant located right in our historical downtown area. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. It seems to be a hit with the locals such as myself and the high schools love to come here during their lunch time. Has comfortable sitting and its clean. They have a wonderful menu, but I always go for the burgers myself.

This is a no frills restaurant as far as decor, but if like great Mexican food this is a wonderful place to come. The service is fast and friendly. The dinners are very inexpensive, and they give you more than your monies worth. Great little tucked away place. It's location is nice because it right down in our little historical town and just down the street from the movies.
Favorite Dish: It's all delicious!

I really like the food here and the service is not bad at all. I don't think we have ever had to wait for a table. They have a private dinning area and another dinning area to the right with tables, TV Screens and the bar. We had Thanksgiving Dinner here and it was pretty good too!

The food was home cooked, and served by two lovely ladies who made sure you had good helpings, and who looked after you just like an old friend.
The surroundings were old world charm, lots of photo's showing bad winters, and old memorablia on the walls.

The best place to eat for me in Tehachapi is Kelsy's. While there you can see an amuzing collection of local history and memorabilia. There are photos ranging from the late 1800s to the 1952 earthquake to the present. Then the local hometown feel is very much felt also.
The resturant has a great hometown family atmosphere. Lots of history and the oldest locally owned business in town that is ran by one of Tehachapi's former Mayor.
Favorite Dish: The best item on the menu is the Chicken in the Basket. It is a great country style meal with 3 peices of chicken, a veggie, and your choice of potatos.

This restuarant didn't have a menu really. You got the main meal which is a million different dishes for about 8-10 dollars. It includes everything from Soup, Salad, to spagetti, to pickled cow toungue. Something for everyone in this huge buffet of food. It's a totally new experience.
Favorite Dish: There was too much to choose just one.

A local restaurant with nice decor, decent prices, and the food is not bad. They are not very friendly here though. Yet, they have the best shakes in town!
