    Ship traffic

by flynboxes Written Jul 16, 2008

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you are able to find a friend with a boat keep in mind the channel between LA and Catalina Island is amin artery for the LA Harbor/Port of Long Beach. Remember to hoist a radar deflecter if you are out in the fog or crossing at night since one of these big ships could split a boat in two without the crew ever feeling a thing. This one we saw was far away but I have gotten very close to them in the past were you can see the crew walking on the deck.
