the flying cars of the Fast and Furious backlot in Universal Studios Glam Tram Studio tour. These assorted cars were some of the stage props of all the 5 movies of the Fast and the Furious Movie Franchise (take a bow vin diesel and paul walker). These cars will then shake and dance and will go up in the air for a few seconds and you must be ready to take pictures and videos while the glam tram is on a stop here. The set is patterned more after the third movie, the tokyo drift, with japanese signs and a japanese style racing garage be3fore the car show.

see my videos too.

Chuckie has replaced Van Helsing in the attraction here in Universal Studios, in 2005, the last time I was here, it was a Van Helsing attraction but now, it is more spectacular than ever. It is now the Universal's House of Horror and the first attraction you will see after entering the upper lot area. It is the fifth variation of a walk-through maze housed in the "Stage 13" building. (Previous themes featured include Chicken Run, GrinchMas, The Mummy and Van Helsing: Fortress Dracula). The "Stage 13" building was previously home to different restaurants before being transformed into an attraction. This current fifth variation of the attraction opened in March 2007 and this attraction features real-live performers dressed up as characters from Universal's horror films including The Mummy, The Wolfman, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Mother Bates from Psycho, Frankenstein, Nosferatu, and other characters. The performers inside the maze jump out and scare guests as they walk through the various "sets" from the films. It is about a 10 minute walk through the various sets inside this huge horror house.

You can hang around the Universal Citywalk and eat or shop or do the attractions there then proceed to the Upper lot area of Universal Studios, where most of the attractions are located then to the lower lot area which is smaller and only has 4 attractions and finally to the famous Universal Studios Glam Tour of the Backlots then having a night cap at one of the bars at the Cityloft Area of Universal Studios Citywalk. There are tons and tons of activities and things to do at the Universal Studios Hollywood.

a nice photo opportunity here at the Universal Studios is the Zombie Maze, which was remade by the famed musician Rob Zombie. This zombie extravaganza is usually held during the fall season as a precursor to Haloween, where assorted zombie motifs are on display on the upper lot area of the Universal Studios Hollywood and there are the zombie maze and the zombie house, which is a 6,000 square feet area and competes for defibrillator time with haunted houses celebrating scenes from Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Saw and the Dracula tales.

this ride replaced the back to the future ride in 2008 due to the worldwide popularity of the simpson family and the cartoon series is now on it's 23rd season. The ride itself is four and a half minutes long but original footage for the ride can be seen in the queue, and there is also a pre-show video. In the ride, patrons are introduced to a cartoon theme park called Krustyland built by Krusty the Clown. Sideshow Bob, however, is loose from prison to get revenge on Krusty and the Simpson family. The simulator ride is via an IMAX Screens.

King Kong 360 3D

this is the replacement for the Kongfrontation Attraction at the Universal Studio backlot tour since the Kongfrontation Set was burned down in 2008.

according to wikipedia:

The attraction takes guests to a recreated version of Skull Island from Peter Jackson's 2005 award-winning blockbuster remake King Kong. It employs audio animatronics as well as 3-D HD imagery on two 200-foot (61 m) wide screens resulting in an immersive two and a half minute film.[2] The attraction replaced King Kong Encounter which burned down in 2008.[3] King Kong: 360 3-D made its debut on the Studio Tour on July 1, 2010.[2][4].

After a video introduction by Peter Jackson, Studio Tour guests don 3-D glasses as the tram enters a sound stage dressed as a re-creation of Skull Island. The sound stage is located in front of the Collapsing Bridge on the Studio Tour. A pack of Venetosaurus see the tram and start to give chase. They scatter when a group of Vastatosaurus rex turn up, some of the pack gets eaten. After the attack by three Vastatosaurus Rex begin to chase the tram, only to disturb Kong, who begins to fight them. The fight continues from one side of the tram to the other, as air and water effects are blown onto guests to further the illusion. Near the end of the experience, a V-Rex gets a hold of what is supposed to be the last tram car and pulls it from the train, throwing it down a pit. Kong defeats the V-Rex and roars in triumph.

more pictures around the Upper Lot Area

Universal Studios Hollywood is divided into three areas, the Universal City Walk, The Upper Lot and the Lower Lot. This will be the lower lot tips. The Upper lot is home to a variety of family based attractions and shows. It is also home to many dining and merchandise shops as well as the park's entrance. For children and families The Adventures of Curious George and The Simpsons Ride are offered. For older guests the park offers Universal's House of Horrors, a year-round haunted house. This Upper lot is also home to all of the park's shows including The Blues Brothers Revue, the Special Effects Stage, the Studio Tour, Universal's Animal Actors and Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular. The Upper lot is also home to two 3-D films: Shrek 4-D (which features additional immersive features) and T2 3-D: Battle Across Time.

Part two with more pictures around the area

the famous Shrek 4d attraction in Universal Studios and they have the same type of shrek 4 d attraction in Universal Studios Theme park around the world. This attraction is set at between shrek 1 and shrek 2 movies. the line here is long and having a front of the line pass is a definite advantage.

accroding to wikipedia:

Pre-show

Participants are given their "OgreVision" 3-D Goggles as they enter a dungeon-like room with two giant television screens on either side. While loading the pre-show room attraction presenters commonly make jokes to encourage people to move closer to each other in order to fit the capacity audience in the room. The pre-show begins with the Three Little Pigs, Gingy, and Pinocchio revealing that Lord Farquaad has kidnapped them and is holding them in Castle Duloc's dungeon. The Magic Mirror begins to summarise the story of what happened before (i.e. the first Shrek film) by stating "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." as a spoof on Star Wars. When he is chastised, he quickly responds, "Sorry...I've been feeling really spaced out lately...". After the Mirror finishes, Farquaad appears and states that he intends to torture the fairytale creatures as well as the audience in order to find Shrek and Fiona. The monitor screen later shows a spoof of Test Card F with Lord Farquaad replacing Carole Hersee`s image. The Mirror Then warns the audience about safety. The cinema doors are then opened and guests take their seats in the theatre.[26]

Thriller Night

The short film takes place right after the first Shrek film. In it, the spirit of Lord Farquaad returns from the dead to kidnap Princess Fiona. Therefore, it is up to Shrek and Donkey to rescue her. Upon Shrek and Donkey searching around the local graveyard, Farquaad sends a stone statue of Dragon from his tomb to go after them and kill them. Fortunately, the real Dragon arrives to the rescue, leading to a chase scene, ending with the stone dragon losing its wings against the walls of a hole and falling into the water below. Farquaad sends Fiona on a raft to fall over the waterfall (with Thelonious still on it, not realizing he was supposed to get off). Shrek and Donkey arrive to rescue her. In the end, all four of them fall over the waterfall, but are saved by Dragon, who then (under Donkey's orders) breathes fire at Farquaad, destroying him again.[27][28]

Although the animation is 3-D, the ride is a 4-D film, which incorporates physical effects including movable seats, mist sprayers and lighting, in addition to the film.[29][30][30] Stationary seats, which do not move during the film, are marked and available for those who want to watch the film without the physical effects.
