    Mimi's Cafe: Great Breakfast

by ATXtraveler Written Dec 22, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

On our last trip to Santa Clarita, Sarah and I had breakfast before we left at Mimi's Cafe. It had a very nice ambiance.

The food was really nice, and the company was great.

I had the "5 Alarm" Santa Fe Omelette, which was really good... jalapenos, etc.

  • Red Lobster: Don't miss the fresh seafood :D

    by su_jen Written Jul 1, 2004

The place has an authentic feel to it, large and airy. The servers were great, helpful, even the manager who happened to be the chef was great. My friend ordered the Maine lobster and wanted bread stuffings instead of crab, the manager customly made that for her. He even came out of the kitchen and asked her precisely how she wants it done. How professional :D

Favorite Dish: Everything Lobster! From appetizers to the main course - Lobster + spinach + chesse dipping sauce, and stuffed lobster mushroom.. lobster dipped in butter sauce oh gawd I'm in heaven

Katy's Kettle: A good second choice

    by b1bob Updated May 1, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We did give the Laughing Dragon, the restaurant which offered a 10% discount, an honest look long about lunch time. However, the queues were prohibitive, it was a sit-down type of restaurant when we wanted to feed our faces quickly and get on the next ride (a sack of egg rolls for example), and it was an Italian restaurant- not Chinese. Clint, Natasha, and I reasoned it would be cheaper and quicker to get a sack of gut bombers (generic and derogatory term for fast food) cheaper and quicker than staying and taking advantage of the 10% discount. We took lunch at Katy's Kettle in another section of the park. Clint took the "double deal" which includes a double cheeseburger with a large order of chips and a large commemorative cup. Natasha took the kiddie meal which consists of an almost microscopic hamburger, chips, and a small drink. I took the chicken strip deal which includes 5 chicken strips, more chips than even the most serious glutton could ever want, and a medium sized drink. This is typical amusement park cuisine.

    T. G. Friday's is all over the place.... so chances are you've been to one already.... This restaurant's motto is: 'Guest requests are never denied'.... and they do provide great service, and divine food!!!! Nice for not so fancy lunch or dinner, or for group parties.... I love the decorations at Friday's!!!! They've been in business for a span of 36 years. I highly recommend their potato skins..... mmmmm-mmmmm! simply 'da best'! ;o)
