Here's a non-pretentious hangout in the neighborhood. The food is not fancy fufu- just good ol' burgers, fries, shakes, chicken dinners, omelets and the like. Off busy Lincoln Blvd, Cafe 50s is the perfect spot for the nostalgic souls who want to indulge. This is no health food eaterie. Don't ask how many calories are in the dishes!
I went to the Venice location of Cafe 50s. It's open from 7 in the morning to 11 PM. It will be the only place open around for a bite to eat in the immediate area, save for the nearly Ralphs. The main diner is in West Los Angeles.
