Right across from the Ventura Seaside Park is an area known as "Surfer's Point." or what the locals call "C Street" .
A 13 mile bike path which begins at San Buenaventura State Beach and heads north up to Emma Wood State Beach and the Ventura Promenade runs along this area.
It is a perfect spot for surfing, matter of fact there is a long board competition that takes place here.

Equipment: There is free paking, restrooms, showers, picnic tables and grills.
There are local surf shops on Thompson and Figueroa Streets.
Channel Coast Kiteboarding (805) 658-6430 has kiteboarding equipment rentals and instruction.
