Built 1912 by Los Angeles architect Albert C. Martin using the "beaux-arts" style, neo-classic columns, arched windows, and terra cotta facade decorated with 24 faces of Fransiscan padres, the order that founded the city in 1782. A truley impressive building. Me and the hubby peeked inside the front doors and you could see the beautiful interiors and fabulous stair case. Oh, there are some really wonderful murals on the entrance walls too. A must see!
