Freeways 99 and 198 are easily used to get here.

Located near the base of the mountains from Sequoia National Park, here in central California, Visalia is a perfect stopping point for folks coming or going from the park. Just one hour to the park and there is even a bus shuttle service that can be taken so driving isn't necessary to get up to and around the park.

Visalia has many hotels and motels and lots of restaurants and fast food outlets that can satisfy nearly every taste there is.

Visalia is spread out. Not very congested. Easier to drive than to get to know the bus schedules for a short visit.
