The famous West Hollywood video bar of the '80s and '90s is back in WeHo!
Once one of the main stays of WeHo nightlife, Revolver became run down and was eventually closed and re-opened as East/West. Although the new owners had done a complete renovation, the bar never really took off and it became a sort of joke to the locals.
About a year ago, Revolver re-opened as one of the most hidden gems of Boystown! In addition to the main room up front, there's a billiards and dart room in the back of the venue. The whole venue is filled with screens playing videos from the 80s through today and the strippers are.. well you have to see for yourself.
The drinks are cheap and poured with a heavy hand and the underground bathroom is... well, let's just say things happen down there.

I happened to find this spot by the intersection of La Brea and Santa Monica. It fits well into what I'll say more in depth about the modernization of the greater Hollywood area. Here we have another chic open-air mall, featuring the major retailers Target and Best Buy (not shown) For ladies (and well some guys :-), you can touch up your make-up at giant beauty store, Ulta (as seen). These places especially attract locals but more and more tourist will surely visit here. This mall features a big screen TV. At the time that I was here, previews of possible Oscar- nominated films were being shown. I would imagine that soon, if not now, there will be very flashy mini shows or shorts perhaps.
