Founders Room, Fred Kavli Theatre: Party time at the Theatre
What to wear, what to wear. That will be the only problem if you go to a VIP Red Carpet Affair. Opening night of a Reading, Music, Play or Musical is a great night out. The community of Thousand Oaks, CA has one of the finest Civic Arts Plazas and top talent in all forms of art are presented year round. I attended the First Nighters VIP Founders Room pre show party for "You're a good man, Charlie Brown." This affair was held by the Hogan Family Foundation and the Cabrillo Music Theatre. It was a dress up and bring your top hat and cane affair. Fun for all that attended with cast members of future musical productions singing some of their songs from up coming shows. Food was plentiful and the tables were full of smiles as everyone was having a good time meating cast members, staff members and fellow admirers of the Arts. I even had my name annonced as I entered the grand room. Wow! Now that is a night out on the town. Try sometime and see if a VIP pre-show party is for you. Why you almost feel like a star celebrity. It sure puts you in the mood to see the show. Oops! Show Time. Bye.
Dress Code: Dress code for a VIP party is upscale. Find those name brand outfits and bring out the bling. This is the way to go, first class. Leave the flipflops at home.

BOGIE'S LOUNGE: BOOGIE AT BOGIE'S
Let me entertain you, shouts the outdoor Southern California lounge, "Bogie's". This is the "hot" night spot for Westlake Village.
Private rooms, firepit, and fireplace tables ring the onyx bar. The outside view of the grounds with a pond and waterfall with the backdrop of the Westlake Village Golf Course is very lush.
Dress Code: Dressy casual is the rule. This is one of the hottest night spots in Westlake Village and the locals love it.

Bogie's Lounge: Happening Night Club at the Golf Course
What a nice club! There's usually a cover charge but if you host an event, I believe the guests get to come in at no charge (as we did). We were hosted in a private outdoor, closed off area with lots of couches which made it comfortable. Towards the inside of the bar, there is a huge dance floor and the music is pretty loud. I haven't been night clubbing for a while but to compare to clubs I've been to in the past, this was a classy one.
Dress Code: No baggy attire (associated with gang bangers here in SoCal).
