Go back in time in the present at Pio Pico

If you like to visit historic parts that have been preserved over the year, come to Pio Pico park featuring El Ranchito. The park steps back into the past, to the days of Mexican glory in California. Free guided tours with docents in full costume are done here (check website for times). Despite being off the freeway and widely travelled Whittier Blvd, Pio Pico is overlooked.

Pio Pico park and El Ranchito home:
    6003 Pioneer Blvd
by the intersection of the 605 freeway and Whittier Blvd. See website for directions.

The single track that runs along side this fence leads to Whittier College and makes a nice loop back to you car if you're parked at the bottom of Turnbull Cyn.

Here's a nice strech of single-track on the backside of Turnbull Canyon. Most riders only ride along the frontside of Turnbull which is mainly fire roads.
