Yountville has some great restaurants with some very nice bars. The main drag of Yountville is Washington Street.
On some of our thirstier summer nights, we've been known to walk to Piatti's at the south of "The Strip" then hit Bistro Jeanty, Hurley's, Pacific Blues Cafe, Bouchon's, Compadre's and wind up at Napa Valley Grille.
All is within walking (stumbling?) distance to "The Rail" or Bordeaux House.
Dress Code: Very casual but all sorts of dress.

Address: Washington Street, Yountville
Other than biking thru the rolling hills of Tuscany, Napa Valley is one of the best road rides around.
Yountville is a good starting and finishing point as there are a lot of "Crossing" roads that go through the vineyards.
And it's always nice to finish a long ride with a Guiness on the patio at Pacific Blues Cafe.
Equipment: A bicycle.
Just about any type. If you are in shape, you can get away with doing the Silverado Trail and Hwy 29 on an old Schwinn paperboy bike, but we suggest a good 18 speed bike.
Pretty decent shoulders on the roads but you always have to error on the side of caution when biking anywhere!

Favorite thing: Yountville is a great central location to start and end a bike ride. You have access to the main highway but you can also use the fronatge roads and the "Crossings" that go back and forth thru the beautiful vineyards and to the Silverado Trail.
Fondest memory: Each year we try and go and ride in the "Tour of Napa Valley". Choose from the 30, 65 or 100 mile courses.
It's put on by the Eagle Cycling Club.

They put on a great ride. Sag wagon, rest/fuel stops and a really nioce BBQ and live music bash at the end.
Starts and stops at the Yountville Veterans Home right near the Napa Museum.
