  • Not a shop, but a mall of shops. Clothes, toys, etc. A typical American mall selling typical American stuff at typical American prices.

    um
nothing in particular. Colorado is a pretty good biking state, but not much to buy here, besides souvenirs and pstcards.

    It's all here

  • There are a variety of shops that sell Native American pottery and art. The most interesting places to go areOld Colorado City and Manitou Springs. If you follow Colorado Avenue from east to west you'll go through Old Colorado City and straight into Manitou (about a 5 minute drive). Manitou is really where all the 60's hippies are hiding out. This is where you'll find the hemp shops and the Wiccan supply shops. It's a fun, upbeat place to hang out.

  • If I named all the shops in Old CO City - I'd be typing for days. I'll just say visit Old CO City. It's a beautiful historic area with a shop for almost anyone: antiques, galleries, eclectic gifts, reasonable souvenir shops, candy, ice creem, mountain decor.

I used to live in this are and think it's just great. I do a ton of Christmas shopping here. There's plenty of free parking in lots just off the main street.

  • Beautiful shop. They specialize in beautiful tea sets. They also have romantic clothing and jewelry and home furnishings. They have a nice selection of gourmet foods, too. Even my husband likes this shop. There is something for almost everyone. They always serve samples of their peach tea and some type of snack from their gourmet food section.

Chapel Hills Mall, The Citadel, downtown, etc...: The different shopping areas of town
    Erin09340

  • There are a number of different shopping choices in Colorado Springs. The Citadel Mall is the main mall in town with a wide variety of shops from Abercrombie & Fitch to Old Navy. It has kind of a confusing layout. The Chapel Hills Mall feels like it's dying a slow death. A lot of empty storefronts and not a wide selection of shops. The Shops at Briargate is relatively new and more upscale. However, I dislike shopping here, especially in winter. It's outdoors with uncovered walkways, so in winter you're forever putting your coat on and taking it off again. Plus everyone tracks snow and slush around. It's nice enough in summer.

Downtown, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs are the places to go to buy different things. Quirky little stores are the norm here.

Colorado Mountain Beanery: Great Selection of Coffees and Teas

  • Small coffee store that offers a wide selection of different coffees from all over the world. This is not a place like Starbucks or Pikes Perk--Colorado Mtn. Beanery does not "serve" coffee drinks. They sell coffee, loose and bag teas, teapots, french presses, hot chocolates, coffee mugs and other various coffee & tea associated gifts. It was owned for about 20+ years by a German woman who recently sold the business. Lucky for me, the shop is still there and I can get my favorite Holiday Spice coffee from this store.

There is a holiday spice type coffee I like to get here.

Depends on the coffee and what part of the world it comes from. Prices can range from $9 to $16 for a lb. of coffee.

  • I always go to Crying Out Loud for unique gifts for kids. They also have a few items adults may like (pictures, clocks, etc).

They have fantastic unique children's clothing, stuffed animals, toys, blankets, adorable shoes, and jewelry.
